You say it took you a while to write this poem - well, it was worth the effort, Jose. It shows how resilient love is, even when covered over with snow in evil's dark storm. Life has an indomitable spirit, always waiting to be renewed, and sharing love provides the nurturing. This is a nice poem.

Beautiful entry for the Rhyming contest writing prompt contest.

The rhymes do not seem forced. Your poem flows well. It draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

I like the nature and spiritual theme.

Good luck in the contest.

This is a beautiful poem. I love your writing style. It flows wonderfully, inviting the reader to continue. My favorite line is 'Evil slithered disguised.' Gorgeous writing. Good luck.

Thank you, Louise. :) I'm glad you loved my poem! Thank you for the stars. Have you voted?

Yes, well, I have voted. There was no contest for me, really. You got my vote just because your poem was beautiful. There was another poem called I Recall which was gorgeous, too. Made me miss my mom :( Good luck, and keep up the wonderful writing.

Dear writer,
I read your poem, then reread it. You met all the contest requirements as far as I can tell. Your poem had a great rhyme scheme. Your poem flowed very consistently. you did tell a love story in a poem. I enjoyed the artwork as well. Best wishes in the contest.
Blessings,
Darlene

Yes I can imagine this took some time, but what a fine story you have written here. Your rhymes are sublime as the contest calls for, and the story has a happy ending which is something that always pleases me.

Wishing you great luck with the voters. :))

What a lovely rhyming poem you have composed! Your poem is set on an unfortunate reality- where love resides, hatred finds a way to settle in. I hope that the world's hatred could be as easily torn apart as the evil in this poem. Nonetheless, all readers of your poem will continue to share love (it sort of proves that people who read are less likely to be evil).
