l love these posts where you talk to your deceased husband. I like even more the motive of passing on this information as part of your legacy to your children. It most be an emotional write for you.

Thank you so much for the great review. I appreciate your comments. I actually enjoy thinking back over the years. We had problems like we all do, but I have fond memories of those days.

Can't wait to read how you got out of serving . No way would you get a case like that of Simpson. I never heard of that tea, but I do believe that herbs are better for healing than pills.
I hope you evicted the tenants who trashed your rental house. Good thing Don could do the repairs so you didn't lose money on this deal.

Sounds like you and the family where way ahead of most of us on at least a few things. I had never even heard of kombucha until just a few years ago. And it only took me one taste to decide if I had to drink that stuff, I'd just as soon be dead. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

It is taste that needs to be cultivated. Actually, I haven't tried the commercial stuff. Evan liked the taste and I learned to tolerate it.
Thanks for a great review.

Sharing these stories will be something for future generations to enjoy.
I have read several now, and feel it is a privilege to participate in someone's history.
A would add Charlie is her new boy =

Thank you Dick, I'm glad there are some to seem to enjoy reading my story. It is mostly for my children but it is triggering forgotten memories for some you are reading it. Thanks for noticing that I made a mistake in not saying Charlie was Connie's latest boyfriend. I fixed it.

I am glad I was never called to jury duty although Mary was, and also served on the parole board. Later explained. O J guilty as sin. He got by but he never got away.

Thank you for the review on this one. I guess being on jury wasn't listed on you bucket list. It wouldn't be something I would care to repeat.

Lots of things are happening in your paradise, and the kids even if they are grown up, are still pretty much the top of your worries and responsabilities. Thank you for sjaring and good luck with the next chapter.

Thank you Iza. I guess if I didn't have those kids to worry about my life might be too boring to write about. lol. Once you have kids you live becomes a lot more complicated.

This is an interesting and uplifting chapter, Beth. I'm glad your husband was introduced to something that made him feel better. The renters will be a problem though. Thanks for sharing.

I must admit I've never heard of kombucha tea, but you've got me intrigued, so I'm going to have fond out what it is. You have a very interesting family, and I'm amazed you remember all these things, and particularly since it's a while ago, But I've have to recollect some of the things about my family. Beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy
Typo : a(n) chance.

Thank you Roy. The tea is easy to make and the directions for making it on on the net. You can buy it already made at Walmart or Amazon and your don't have to look at the ugly fungus. LOL I appreciate the review.

We don?t have Walmart here Beth, only in America. Bless you though,

The objective correlative of this chapter of your work reminisces a closely knit family that is out to assist each other.
The work highlights the inability of the people, who leased their house to pay rent and somehow tying their inability to pay to the inherent inadequacies in the house; Don's eventual fixing of the inadequacies; the protagonist and her husband's health problems and how this was equally fixed by Don; the challenges their daughters had with regard to friendship and marriage; and how managed through in spite of the odds.
The work earns its texture through its effective use of cordial relationship anecdotes.
Excellent work. Bravo.

I have jury duty Monday. I hate it, I am praying that it will be canceled. I know I've said it before, but I enjoy reading your memoirs. Thank you for sharing.
Still, you often had weak spells causing your heart to race and making you think you were dying. ( and made you think...)

Thank you Barbara. being on a jury was just something I'd never done and wanted too and I thought it would would be neat. I got called when we were moving from New Orleans but I couldn't do it then because we were leaving. I've only been called twice.
