This is an adorable story of faith and love. It demonstrates how one generation should pass on to the next generation, the good news of the love of their Lord and Savior. This story reminded me of the one night I sat with my husband's Grandmother, talking together on her porch in Georgia, many years ago. Thanks for the memory.

Yes, it's those sweet little stories that incorporate a collage of past memories or even wish thinking of how things could be. Hope and sweet thoughts keep us on the right track. Thanks for sharing.

A very reflective post, and thought-provoking. Not sure that we become angels, as they are described as a different created being, but we certainly will get new resurrection bodies. I like the gentle interaction between grandmother and granddaughter, and the joyful anticipation of heaven - we can trust and be sure that it is both good and perfect. A lovely write.

This is a beautiful spiritual story, Carol. The conversation between Amy and her grandma seems natural, although it isn't one I could ever imagine having with any of my grandchildren. Times have changed. Well written.

You?re very welcome, Carol.

That's so sweet! It's that kind of conversation that gives little ones the reassurance of God's love and continual presence as well as the love that still surrounds even from beyond the grave.

You did a great job with your story, Carol. I loved reading it. Your words are well chosen. They apply here as well to others who believe like the child and Grams. Yes, Grams is a wise woman. She has done well teaching her grand daughter about faith. The setting is beautiful and perfect for this story.
Respectfully, Jan

What a sweet story. I could picture Grams and the granddaughter sitting on the porch looking at the stars and talking about Heaven. I enjoyed the dialogue. It makes the story much more personal when you hear what they're actually saying. Great job!!!

Many years ago when my daughter died I had a similar conversation with my great granddaughter who wanted to know where her grandmother had disappeared to. I told her she wasn't gone...only she was one of the millions of stars (angels) watching over her and she should pick one so she could speak with her all the time.

What a lovely chat on the porch between Grandma and Amy. I like the idea of the shooting stars being angels come to take the souls back to Heaven.
Did you ever watch 'Touched by an Angel'? I loved that series and the angel of death was gorgous, he could come and take me home any time!! I really enjoyed this little story, my friend. Well done! :)) Sandra xxx

I loved Michael Landon and Highway to Heaven the preview to Touched by an Angel. I haven't seen it but I just recently saw it was coming to a satellite channel and I will have to watch it. Thanks for the awesome review as always.
