Hi Carol, another chapter full.of suspense and action. I'm not sure it makes sense that Marian keep on going back. She gets rescued and walk back into the lion's dent. I'm not sure it makes much sense. A hug, Ulla:)))

I have truly enjoyed taking this ride with you. Every episode has been incredible with gripping action and authentic dialogue. Surprise! Max was Marian's husband. (Hope I understood that right) I loved that Marian was the hero, or I should say shero who put an end to Vito. Great episode.

Okay, I can see why Marian had to go back. She knew where her grandfather's pistol was! And I'm glad that the trap door which you referred to several times was put to good use. I'm guessing Charles died. Too bad as he had more chance for repentance. I was hoping that Vito would go down. But this way, his body would be evidence that he won't be back.

He might be laying in the hole, moaning under all the furniture that Vito tossed on him... I forgot to check!?!?! I agree... I think Charles never expected to get in so deep with Vito and when he did, there was no way out.

I should have made it clearer, but since I mentioned they all grew up together I guess I assumed people would she was just pretending the mental illness. I'll try to scrub that up a little as I go through the entire story again.

I caught that she wasn?t who she pretended to be, and was of sound mind, but still I pictured her as being vulnerable and I guess I didn?t think about her being a school chum of the others, for some reason, so don?t change things on my account. Lol

I will take a look as I go through. When I write I get so involved with my characters, I think everyone knows them like I do. It needs to be clear.

I liked the idea of Marian being the one to end his slimy life as well. I think everyone knew from the beginning (except maybe Charles) where they were headed, but initially Marian was simply trying to right a wrong in her brother's house.

You know regardless of how low my life feels at the time, somehow, someway, my muse refuses to remain in the dark alleys of hell. WE must see a rising sun on the horizon.

As for Charles, he got way in over his head. His plan was to care for Marian (thinking she was truly ill) and enjoy the finer things in life. Vito took him a different way.
