No matter how smooth things seem to go for the most part, we can always count on you to throw a crimp in the hose somewhere from start to finish. Thanks for sharing.

Another great chapter in your book. So glad the girls are out safely, but I fear for Allie and Sam. And I do hope Max will be safe and that Marian will stay with the girls on the rescue boat. Looking forward to the final chapters. Blessings.

Oh, Carol, I almost screwed it up for you, but I am glad I saw you were a bit behind. I have been writing and answering reviews all night on the finale which I hope you will enjoy. Happy reading!

Yes, I've had a busy week, so am playing catch-up. I took on a part-time job at church, working from home. Just reviewed the finale, part 1.

Oh dear, this is really going one step forward and two steps backwards. Every time they think they've won the game, Vito is on step ahead. This is well written, Carol, and I have to hurry on. Hugs, Ulla:)))

This work has reached the exceptional level

The objective correlative of this chapter of the book reminisces Max and Marian scurrying through a tunnel to salvage a terribly bad situation being suffered a group of endangered people.

The work highlights their fear stricken moves; their savaging of Jaz and the other girls; the waiting team of Navy Seals that alerts them of an impending danger, which turns out to be Charles and Allies on a slowly cruising boat; the resultant confusion that caused them to hazard a retreat; Max call for a hopeful intervention from Dad and a seeming escape of the girls without Max, much to the chagrin of Marian.

The work earns its texture through the effective use of eclectic anecdotes that further the plot.

Excellent work. Bravo.

So glad the girls are all going to get away but Max may well be laying down his life for them. Sam and Allie are in a precarious situation, but I am sure that you will rescue them SOON! Interesting and compelling, right through.

Well, at least, the girls got safely to the boat and hopefully can get away from that place. Let's hope Marian doesn't try to play hero. A great post with lots of gripping suspense here. It's good Max knows what to do.

It looks like the girls are being rescued, Vito and Charles have captured Samantha and Allie, so they need to be rescued. Now I'm wondering where Garth and co. are. But Max hasn't joined Marianne and the girls, where is he? Beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

I can feel the tension building. The intriguing thing about this novel is that the bad guys had the upper hand throughout. It's time for the good guys to take over. It'll probably take a couple of chapters to unravel the tightly woven web of Vito and Charles. Allie and Sam have to be rescued, and Vito must react to Jaz and the other girls being gone. Garth and his team must reach the island prepared for a confrontation. I can't wait to see how you resolve all of this.

Well, you've got me confused again, Carol. After holding my breath till they all got out of the tunnel, I couldn't believe that Max's first call was to his father?? When did he become on their side? Very well written. I wait in suspense for the next chapter.

If you remember, Max's father set his son up as Sheriff, paid Vito to serve the prison sentence and then disowned Paulie. Everyone in town knew he'd disowned his son, but they didn't know the reason.

Max was in Washington D.C. learning to be an undercover FBI agent. He returned and with Marian, they were trying to clear her brother's name. The father has been working with Max.

I don't want to release too much information, because I am writing the last chapters as we speak.

Hang in there, girl friend. Fireworks are about to explode.

    Hugs, Carol

Thanks, Carol. I figured it would all be explained in the end. I guess maybe I'd forgotten some of these details. That's what happens when we have to read novels in bits and pieces. lol Hugs.
