The author's words are strong, clear, concerning, and creative. I pondered
on the words of this poem. I feel something has to change also. Few solutions available. I find prayer and being a good example is what one
can do. Reaching out to others will also spread God's love. Great Poem!
Extremely thought provoking!

Your words remind me of the Old Testament. God is not happy with our ways here on earth. Your words tell a tale of caution in poetic form. Excellent faith based poem.

Hello author, a timely poem. The world is in chaos. Of special note:

"To kill, it hurts Me to the core,
But I've destroyed a world before,
(As they say, history has a way of repeating itself. We've been warned.)

Also:
They'd be OK if they'd not mix
Religion with their politics.
(Seems like there's a lot of that going on,
and not just in the Emerald Isle.)

Silky rhyming, well-chosen artwork choice. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

This is a clear conversation with God about all the hate and war in the world he created and wanted to be peaceful. I think you are right that if we could just accept all religions for the different ways of praising God that they are and leave politics out, it would be easier to have peace.
The one question I have is didn't God promise not to kill the whole world again after the flood and I don't think he would only give us only a couple of years to change.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthly
Merry Christmas

Thanks for, the review, Joan. I think God said he would not destroy the world again by flooding. If God gave us any longer to change our ways, we would probably drag our feet.

You?re welcome. You may be right about us procrastinating as long as we can.

The a? htlm in the last line distracts from this fire and brimestone poem and is simple to correct upon editing prior to posting.

The view of a vengeful God presents a different view than most hold of Him.

True He wiped out the world before and Revalation says He will again.

Thanks, Brett. I have edited the last line. Don't know how that happened.

Your poem is composed in a creative way, with God talking. I can see Him saying much of this. He is stern when it's needed, but He is also loving. Just an idea...you may include how much He lives the world, even though we are flawed. I hesitate to say that because our beliefs are so personal, and our own. I think the poem needs a balance, but truly, this is well done.
