Excellent entry for the Tree-Hugger 5-7-5 writing prompt contest. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Nice presentation and imagery. Good luck in the contest.

In this case the trees dying was out of our control, but we still have time to replant an preserve for future generations. Hopefully your poem will spark more interest in this endeavor. Great poem, good luck in the contest.

Thanks for your review but I an going to have to disagree. Too often every year bushfires start because people tossed a match or leave a campfire unattended. Simple human error, very much in our control.

A fine 5-7-5 with meaning and warning. A miracle destroyed by a single careless act of man. Your image and presentation are excellent and add force to your words. Best wishes for your entry.

Thanks for your review. It happens too often every summer.

Very vivid. The picture you selected gives life to your words. Yes, just one single match can destroy a miracle, our beautiful forest/trees. Well written.

To see the image is frightening. You are correct in saying that a flick of a match can cause a disaster. That happens often out West when it gets dry; Thank God, the fires have calmed down.

Just seeing this image. . .makes my heart cry. We talk about the animals who have lost their lives in these fires. . .what about the life in the trees?
Too many careless, uncaring people who are not taking care of our planet.

As an Australian, I know what devastation can be wrought by bushfires, often caused through carelessness and even arson. Your presentation has an impact.

Thanks for your review Lisa. I've seen the effects of these fires too many times.
