Clever - and a great image has been chosen. Interesting that it is so much harder to say something meaningful and profound with so few syllables. Many will relate to yours. Good luck!

Thanks, Wendy. Some times it is hard to say something with many syllables.

Wow, this is very very clever. I feel so envious because I could never have thought of this! Well done to you for your ingenuity because I enjoyed it and look forward to more of your writing, Giddy

Thanks, Giddy. Elizabeth Barrett Browning helped me to get going on this one.

Good artwork paired with your contest entry. Your verse really reflects the contest format.
P.S. IMHO your presentation will have an added punch if you bold your text (and increase your font size?) Not a fan of initial caps for all three lines for this type of short poem, which in my mind is one complete thought. How or why works interchangeably for me.
I too have used your FanArtist for a number of my posts.
Best wishes in the contest voting.

'How do I write thee? ' , is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has penned it as he/she sees it. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you get on?

You are testing my memory again, Duchess.

This one hits home with me. I often cannot believe I cannot just immediately come up with a few words for this type of contest. Your illustration pairs perfectly.

Thanks for the review. It is kind of interesting how it is so difficult to come up with just a few words.

yes a 3-5-3 with a distinctly humorous touch - sometimes it seems impossible to pack everything in to this tiny poetic format - yet some little gems have arrived here on Fanstory from that very format

Hello, Anonymous,
Interesting entry for the Write a 3-5-3 writing prompt contest. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Good luck in the contest!

Exactly.....sometimes some of the easiest task come across as to trying. Just like a block where one stumbles for minutes to remember the correct spelling of The.

I love it! And so very true for anyone who would ever has tried to fit themselves into a seriously structured form. The image is a perfect accompaniment.

Thanks, Nancy. It's amazing how long it takes to write these short ones sometimes.
