The first kiss is indeed a memorable moment for both parties. In my day, it was always the boy who made the first move. Your poem seems to be in a similar time frame - I think things move a lot faster these days and girls can be quite forward. Your poem has an air of sweet innocence and restraint about it.

This is a delightful poem and I'm reminded of how innocent we are at that age. Of course, children as young and sweet as those in the picture are just perfect in their affection. I really like this. Good luck in the contest.
