Very clever advice from a dog with such an advanced degree. It has been years since we had Skootch but I do recognize how our lives revolved around her every wants and moods.

Mary

So, this is how my dogs had me at their every call? LOL! You are an amazing writer. I so enjoyed this writing. It is so original, and it puts human words to what dogs do to inform and engage us. It's true, a smart dog can have you wrapped around its little paw.

Thank you so much for your super review. Yes, I think they all go to the same University (it's probably on-line, and they use the computer while we are asleep! Lol. That's why they sleep in the day-time!)
I greatly appreciate the six star rating. Many thanks.

Hi there, Sunny G! Thank you for this important information. I read it to my German shepherd, Helga. Her response? It was a resounding DUH!!!
I confess that I've always been a pushover for a smart dog. They are so much better at training me so that I can be happy with them.

    Hi Chatterbox,
They are excellent trainers for sure. Maybe yours went to the same University. But I think really they are just so smart and intuitive. Thank you for a great review. I?m glad you enjoyed it!

Helga even taught my cockatiel to bark when someone opened my gate. Good thing, Helga was getting old and her hearing not so good. I beleve these critters are suplimental angels.

What a great (I would say non-fiction) entry for the Animal Crackers club. YOur observations of dogs shows your love for them. I think this is partly one of your humorous posts since you had me smiling as I read it.

Ah, Sunny, you're a communication genius! And just as you were teaching us your failproof techniques, you also showed us what a wonderful human mama you have and she has a great sense of humor. I liked your strategy on how to keep the burglar so busy with you that they forget what they came!

Thank you Helen! A wonderful review. Delighted to read it.
(Yesterday a stranger (a workman) came to the door, and Sunny just went forward for a pat. He is more likely to bark if a dog walks past on the other side of the road. Lol.

Lol. Sunny is definitely a people person! There's a chihuahua on one of our walks. S/he barks and attacks the fence ferociously so we go to the other side of the street! Lol.

Classify it as perfect, Wendy. Sunny has it don pat, and other dogs can learn so much from following these lessons. Non-fiction is the way to go. I love the way Sunny formatted the lines with the bold subheadings. The info included is well organized and easy to understand. I believe Sunny aced the challenge. Every dog needs to have a copy of this, or at least memorize it in order to teach their humans the great art of communicating with dogs.
Respectfully, Jan

You obviously know the behaviour of dogs very well Wendy and your made me smile here. Dogs know human behaviour so very well and they are clever enough to know their way around us and use it to manipulate us! He he he, a fine write, you entertained me here, love Dolly x

This is great, Wendy! I can see all of these things happening, the loving or sad eyes, the paws on the lap or the bed, only from experience with the dogs of relatives or friends. Thanks for sharing.

So, that's why dogs want our food! They want to make sure it's safe for us! I always knew there had to be a good reason. And it is weird when dogs get sick. When I had my dog she had an intestinal thing and the vet told us to feed her beef and bland human food we'd eat. She ate that way for a week before we could slowly introduce dog food back into her life. She literally ate better sick than she did healthy. Have you ever seen a dog do that with food where they will spit out the ones they don't like? My dog did it all the time. She would get a mouthful of food, drop it on the floor, and eat certain ones. SHE MADE THE BIGGEST MESSES! Are you communicating with my dog from the other side? And, us humans, do need a lot of repetition. I mean whose training who? lol. I loved every part of this.

So glad you enjoyed it! Maybe your dog went to the same canine University. Dogs are indeed very clever in their understanding and training of us weak humans. Lol.

This a is a very guide. Too bad dogs can't read, or can they? You do can excellent job with dog's point of view and keep the humor going. It is funny and easy to follow for none dog owners to enjoy. You also, let us know what is most important to the dogs.

Nicely done.
