Oh, my dearest Gypsy, what you had to endure! I can't believe how much suffering and pain, both physical and emotional, you went through. But I am glad you didn't break you, it made you stronger, and now you are a wonderful poet, a teacher, an educator and much more.
A wonderful Haibun. I enjoyed both prose and poetry. Excellent imagery and visuals.

Sobering and heart-wrenching haibun. This is a reality for some. I hope it's not your story. But there are times every every human soul when hopelessness leads to drastic actions. But with faith, one can keep pressing on "with destination unknown" but not "utterly alone" because God is near.

Yes, it's based on my real life. Probably my lowest place in life. I experienced highs and lows of bipolar disease. But I'm good now. I'm more mature and understand the value of staying on my medication.

The format of this type of poem is very interesting and I thought that the way you worded each stanza flowed smoothly from one to the next. Though the topic was sad and left you with an open ending, it dealt with the realities that many face in life. Nicely done.

It's based on my life experience. I am bipolar. It's a harsh illness but I'm doing better.

This is one of the best haibun I have read. The suicide theme is a result of the individual's depression at not being able to obtain a job. Excellent poetic form that adds to the theme of loneliness and feeling alone.

I think when we survey our life or death choices, death is surrendering to hopelessness, emotional instability, but the say that we have hit bottom before we can go up, I'm glad I never quite made it to the bottom, a very dramatic haibun indeed, but you said it wasn't fiction.
