Sandra,
This is such a sweet poem that is great for allaying children's fears of going to the dentist. I love the crisp rhyme, the cute drawings, and the way you make animals appear friendly and kind for little future animal lovers.
Exceptional work, Sandra. Congrats on the #1 rating.
Hugs,
Cindy

Aww, thank you so much, Cindy, what a really nice review. I'm in the middle of adding drawings for children to colour after they've read the story. I didn't realise how long I'd written this one. 86 stanzas over four chapter. So I need to sort out 43 drawings to colour in! What was I thinking????
Thank you so much for the sixth golden star, my friend, that was so kind of you. I'm delighted you enjoyed reading it. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra

You?re welcome, Sandra. I get so behind on Fanstory sometimes, but I always remember you as one of the first people who gave me really good writing advice.
    Stay healthy.
Feed your muse. She serves you well!
    Hugs from across the Pond,

This is an amazing poem. I was captivated the whole time while reading it. It is refreshing to see a poem with a storyline because many poets writes conceptual and abstract poems. Great job and keep up the outstanding work!

What a great way to end the story, with everybody coming to help, even a rather interesting animal that looks like a piece of string. And the poor whale finally has some relief! I know how much a toothache hurts.

Thank you so very much for this lovely review, Cindy! I'm delighted you enjoyed this story-poem. I did wonder while writing this one if mammals did have toothaches. I've not heard of it. Thanks again for all your lovely reviews and support of this book, I've appreciated them all. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I know cats have toothaches. The vet cost me a bundle. I imagine other animals do too.

I have been out of town for a few days so was way behind in messages, so just reading this now. This is a great ending to the story, and it sounds like your book will be delightful for children. Hope it goes over well.

Aw, thank you, Anne. I'm so glad you liked the ending. I counted the stanzas, and there are 84! But the way I publish the books, they can have a chapter a night read to them before they snuggle down to sleep. (That's the plan, anyway!) Thank you so much for the lovely sixth star, that was so kind of you.
I hope you had a pleasurable few days away. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

What a sweet story, Sandra - and, while you might not be satisfied with your choice of pictures, I think they work beautifully. You're correct that the Cube 16 format works perfectly for your story, and for children's stories in general. It's a simple, bouncy form that I'm sure kids will enjoy. You've created a fun story populated with charming characters your readers want to get to know. What a lovely ending to this whale tale.

Hi Sandra,

This is indeed the cutest story, illustrations and all. Glad the poor Orca got his bad tooth pulled out by sea creature's all by their team effort :))

Such a fabulous little tale for the young and old. Envious rhyme in this form of the Cube 16 a la Robert Zimmerman. Love the form as it works so well for a child's book. Great fun that a coloring book is included.

Good luck with the publishing details, Sandra... hope the process goes smoothly with no headaches :))

Enjoyed this little under the sea gem

Hi Sandra, you should of had Graham draw the pictures
you couldn't find...he really is good at it...

well I'm so glad they got this poor whales tooth out...
I hope they returned it to him...you know there's money in teeth...haven't you heard of the tooth fairy...when we were kids we got a dime...sometimes a quarter...depending on which fairy left it under our pillows...now my grandkids get five and tens dollars...Noah would pull all his teeth if Kristy didn't stop him...

going to make a wonderful book my amazing friend...any child would love it...a great chapter...very well written sweet girl...sending bunches of love your way...and loads of hugs...Linda xxoo it's now 2:09 am...goodnight you...sweats dreams on your end...xxoo

Did you have a voice in your head saying Sandra was thinking of you? Lol. I was reading my emails and realised I'd not sent one to you for a while. I've no excuses, writing to a lovely friend is more important than housework. I'll get onto it. :))

Thank you, sweet friend for this lovely review, and the golden star!! Graham had a big smile on his face when I read what you said about his sketches. He has a bit of a problem now with his hands, they shake a lot so that has meant he's had to stop doing quite a few things he enjoyed. Bless him, it's not fair that we have to grow old.

I loved that thought about the tooth fairy coming to the whale, LOL, the size of his tooth would mean the fairy taking out a mortgage to pay for it!! LOL

Why are you up so late? Are you okay? I still have those nights, 8 years after my mum's death when I can't sleep thinking about her and all the things I wished I could tell her. I hope you're not feeling ill or in pain. I'll have a quiet word with God to take special care of you.

Love you loads, my dear friend, take care. Hugs and love. Sandra xxxxx

Hello Sandra,
A wonderful ending to the tale of whale
with a tooth that ached, but who had friends
who pulled off a nice escape from all the pain.
Much more reliable the dentists!
Cooperation is the key to success.
Never heard of Sea Whip before,
educational poem, as well as fun.
Great art work too. Well done!
Best wishes to all.

I'm glad you enjoyed this one, Robert. Thank you so very much for this lovely review and for the glorious array of golden stars! I was gobsmacked when I found the Sea Whip, it was perfect for what I wanted, I didn't want to use anything that we'd thrown into the sea, ropes, etc. This kept everything in line with the undersea world. Thank you for all the support you've given me throughout this story, it's been a fun project. Have a wonderful day, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

This is a delight. The rhyme and meter don't miss a beat. I had never heard of the sea whip, and you bring it in beautifully. It will be some interesting information for the children. I like the idea of the sharks and the octopus getting involved in helping pull the whale's achy tooth. A lot of cooperation and patience involved. Such an interesting idea, and the children will love it. Great illustrations. judi
