This is excellent dramatic verbage and imagery. It is also a message of a cautionary tale: "By contrast, America is a troubled place right now, alarming really." I heard a speaker say when asked why is there so much hater, He said it's always been contained, but like Chernobyl it has erupted. It's always been secretly simmering. Look at the history of the Native Americans, the blacks. There was bloodshed on the Catholic church steps if an Italian went to the Irish church & visa versa. As with you, I could go on ad infinitem. Quite a topic for the assignment.

You've made an excellent case describing "Where America is Going", Sally. I agree that hate for other human beings is the biggest cause of troubled waters, in the United States, in Canada, and around the world. Although slavery was long ago abolished in both the US and Canada, it has been replaced with "human trafficking", as mentioned further down in the article that you quoted. The whole world is a sad place these days. Thanks for all of your research. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for the lovely review and generous compliments. Human trafficking is illegal and is a difficult breed of cat, also tied into other crimes: prostitution, drug trafficking, and illegal arms sales. The abducted, some sold, some not, and they are moved very quickly and intercontinentally. It is slavery, no doubt, by I?d say more of a criminal enterprise. The statistics are hidden within government bureaucracy. It?s something I would like to report on in the days ahead. Today, I did not have anything verified in this arena of human trafficking. The Walk Free group has a credible report and ongoing ministry. They do good work. I have two former missionaries in my family, both whom have shared their world view on slavery and oppression. As I was walking around, already warned not to be by myself because many white women go missing everyday, I was a white slave market. White people were up on a cement stage in chains being auctioned off. We are all God's children. He created us. I pray daily for the US. I am worried for what is becoming of America. What an outstanding piece of writing with all its hard work and research. I'm almost ashamed to give it a measly five when even a six couldn't touch the reward it deserves. But, as usual, I'm out of sixes. I almost keep it around until Sunday when my stock is replenished, but realized my six won't make that much difference. Bravo!
