WOW. I love the change of the point of view. All that time he hated her and cursed her, she still loved him as a brother and saved him. He owes her big time. I'm so glad he and his mother escaped and are now looking for Mara. But the uncle... he will be a future problem for sure. I have to say I love the simplicity yet intricacy of the description in the chapter: the fight moves, their powers... I can't wait to see what happens NEXT!

Good chapter, strong short battle between three powerful combatants. You did well with emotion and struggle between mother and son. Gareth showed little doubt in his actions and his anger was on full display. Good way to start a journey.
