I like the Vincent vanGogh painting you used to illustrate your words.
The poem itself gives strong images of crows maybe ruining a part of the crop as they rise from the damp corn.

You did an excellent job in the penning of this 5-7-5 poem for this writing prompt.

Van Gogh's painting is beautiful, and your detailed description in your poem brings out the meaning in his painting and brings it to life. I think he would be proud.

Crows are said to be crop stealers, and many see them as bad omens. I believe one can also see some beauty in these birds.

I am so glad to hear your young son is doing well after his diagnosis! Hoping your older son is healing too. Miracles happen all the time!

My granddaughter is doing well. She has almost no symptoms at all and wants to go back to school but it is still closed for another two weeks.

Portia, I am praying for you and your husband. I am keeping you in constant prayer for good results on your scope in a few weeks.

My son is out of quarantine, he got retested, and the results came back negative...

I love this because the reader can actually FEEL what you wrote. When a murder of crows takes flight, you can actually feel the wind beneath their wings. The smell of the earth can be permeating, especially after a rain, or some sort of disruption. Great writing, my friend.

The first two lines of your lovely poem captures all the drama depicted in this masterpiece.

Living near woods , I am familiar with the scent of the wet earth when I take my walks there .. I love it.

Just recently I came upon Vincent Van Gogh's The Red Vineyard and it inspired me to write a wee poem too.
