Now that's a good poem. Finally, it left me dumbfounded by the intense introduction of the topic, blue. And the next stanza I was feeling the cataclysmic reaction. Brr, I just got a chill. Cinnamon was a cute way to end, based on your perception :)

Yes, I do have this wonderful gift, increased by my blindness onset. My other senses have stepped forward to help in my eyesight loss, I think. Our senses have memory which helps. I associate colors with memories and music. I have music playing all day and basically hear it in my mind all night. I take time ever day to read, write and view colorful pictures with my remaining sight. I sit outdoors when I can and take in sights and sounds. I love my family and visit with them and talk, play. I enjoyed this. I wish I had a six for you today. No one talks of this phenomenon. A blessing to read it today. Sending you my best today as always,

Yes, synesthetes are truly blessed with extra sensory pathways that cross wire across the sensory spectrum. I am very glad your other senses are compensating for your diminished sight. So interesting how the brain and body are marvelously made and new discoveries are made about it all the time. More women have this than men and it is being found to be more common than previously believed. Also most of us have shades of synesthesia or different levels of it and are never really consciously aware of it because they think everyone see, hears, feels this way 🙂
