In the entire scheme of things we are all unimportant, but I attempt to make one person a little happier each day. Then I feel I had a good day. I know it's minor but it's me. Thank you for sharing your poem and artwork with us, both good.

    It is never minor, Barbara,
    when you help/recognize
    another soul. Another person.
    Another reality than your own.

    Never forget you are a good person.
    I have interacted with you for years.

    I know.

Hello Friend,
A very moving free verse that speaks to me in a number of stanzas:

We live,
aware...
only in the moments
between time.
~~~~~
I now realize,
every man is broken,
eventually.
There is a sadness in your words and presentation; perhaps more of a finality... It is what it is...
Mesmerizing artwork...
Thank you for sharing!
    Diane,
    Perhaps you are aware of your
    significance to me in your reviewing.
    Perhaps not. Although, I believe I
    have mentioned this before.
    There is nothing so comforting
    as having another intellectual
    individual recognize, praise?, not as important as
    simply understanding one's work.
    I love it when you review me.
I believe your message here is if you are thinking of doing something you'd best do it now since you never know what tomorrow may bring. We are, after all, all of us, headed for the grave, in the end. Something we never forget.
I had to go back and examine the image and then read that you painted it. It is busy and exciting and revealing. I enjoyed your poem immensely and it read well with the image. I enjoyed the words you used to describe the colours and the activity depicted in your artwork. Nicely done. PM
-I love the artwork, Doug,
and you have a nice presentation.
-I like the opening of the poem,
addressing your ghosts.
-I also like the 4th verse
about being aware in
"moments between time."
-Good use of literary references,
like "trip the light fantastic" and
the ending, too.
-Another good job of sharing
your reflections on life and
how we are impacted by it.
"Shall We Dance", is an extremely well written and deftly descriptive piece. It was a pleasure to both read and review this talented poet's work. I look forward to reading and reviewing your next post.
Hi Victor,
I see you are at it again with some wondrous verse of truth! I really like this one, one of your best I think.
Man's fragile, yet tough nature is such a strange combo. Paradoxes hold more truth than we give them credit for. I really love these brilliant lines that I felt drawn to:
"We live,
aware...
only in the moments
between time."
So true, we live in the moments between time. Time is self consciousness perhaps, demanding our attention to IT. Time makes us self aware. But left to drift between time perhaps we can lose ourselves among the fibers of creation and become one with it so to speak. We can dance unashamed, not caring if we are clumsy or off rhythm.
We don't have the spotlight on us for an instance and we can dance in the dark, or by candlelight or even in the sunlight if we're brave.
Thanks for putting up with my interpretations of your fine work.
Always,
Senyai
    Don't cry for me, Argentina.
    A simple line, but emotionally
    always affects me.
    Thank you,
Expressing intense feelings with honesty can be overwhelming sometimes. I am a bit intrigued too. We can analyse our feelings and try to hide them. But our eyes will be a giveaway. I liked your poem penned in a unique style. Thanks for sharing!
