Words cannot express how
I feel after reading this loving
and beauteous tribute to our
brave and beloved fallen.
God has them in the heavenly
realms of His love. Many
blessings to you and your
family. ~

Thank you for the galaxy of stars and your heartfelt review! Have lost friends and relatives in the service of our country and feel they do not get enough credit for their service, and in many cases, their sacrifice. God holds them in the highest love and respect. irish

Oh my God! This was absolutely one of the best things I ever read on this site. It was powerful, it was subtle, it was just plain great!!

What a wonderful poem of tribute and love. To lose a son or daughter is the worst thing that can happen in life. Spouse are heartbreaking, parents terrible, but the loss of a child, in my opinion is as bad as it gets. I've lost two sons, a husband and my parents, but nothing was as bad as the loss of my children.

You're Irish my pleasure to see you posting new things this one was especially a pleasure to read as I said it to him myself we're seeing parts that you took from other writings you took most of it from your heart and I can see that I can read between the lines and know that you were saying goodbye to someone very special to you. I love her? Your past? I didn't give it a seven Stars if there was seven available seven available.

Thank you for reading in--depth to see the thoughts and emotions that inspired this poem, and the galaxy of stars. Took a long time to get right before posting.

Way to go, Irish. You really know how to pull those heartstrings. Patriotism, mother love and the tragedy of sacrifice - all the emotions that cause the moist eyes and the catch in the throat. You play your audience well. And I couldn't find any corrections to be made. I have no idea why you might be hesitant. You write like a pro. Well done, my friend.

Thank you, my friend! A galaxy of stars! You read deeper than most, and I can see you understand the late nights and heartaches that inspired this poem.
The verses fermented for a long time, demanding to be written but it took many rewrites before posting.
Hope all is well with you.

Stunning memorial piece! You should revive it annually. Heartrending take on the theme of causualties of war on a personal level--excruciating to contemplate.

Your poem made me cry... It's very well written and it moved me. I think any veteran would feel it in a deeper way. It's very sad.
The rhymes do not seem forced. Your poem flows well. It draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

Dear Irish,
What an excellent and moving poem! Such heartfelt verses to pay tribute to your loved ones. Each verse builds onto the beauty of another, flowing with grace, carrying the sacrifice of generations, the weight of a family, the memories buried, coming in blinding flashes of emotion.
Well done!
Cheers,
DJ

Oh the tears running down my face.... What a beautiful tribute to all the men and women who have served and those who lost their lives; but also to the ones left behind suffering the loss. If we could only remember that they are always here by our sides... Magnificent poem..
Smiles and hugs, Carol
