Aww, That was so beautiful, Carol! My eyes welled up and I had a lump in my throat. That is how I believe it will be. I'd better not be wrong. I loved this one, my friend, you are an amazing story teller. Warm hugs, and big smiles. :)) Sandra xx

Between Michael and Mike, my mind has been walking a few sad paths the last few days, but I am good or at least headed that way. Can't seem to get the writing mode going on the story, but it too will come. I pray that it will be like the story says and he will come to escort me home and everyone one will be waiting. Glad you enjoyed it. Smiles and hugs, Carol

This story is told from an interesting perspective- memory or dream?

The reader journeys with Naomi as she travels through the story.

Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Carol,

Ack. Well, it's obvious where your thoughts are right now. But, no! Come back to us. Down here. WE need you, too.

This was sweet and tender and romantic, but unrealistic. We want Carol on the earth writing her novels. So. Back to work, girl. Come on. Shake it off. Or at least, try?

It's been a troublesome few days, but never fear I will work through it and find my way again. It's just a road I travel... Smiles, Carol

Seems like she did find her beloved and both have entered into Eternity together. I liked that your ending said it was just the beginning. Enjoyed your romance fiction.

Can't tell you exactly where this came from, Iza. My husband was strolling through my thoughts and this story formed from it. Thanks for the review. Smiles, Carol

OMG!!! This is so tender and beautiful. It's real Naomi. It's just the beginning. Warmth, emotion, desire, disappointment, fulfillment and love are all wrapped up in this delightful short story, written by a truly talented writer.

Lorraine... I am blessed by your thoughtfulness and awesome words. Mike was strolling through my thoughts yesterday and I was missing him and I guess this story is what came out of it. I too loved it! Smiles, Carol

Aw, ain't that sweet. Off to eternity together. I would have probably been singing that old country song, "Prop me up beside the jukebox." I don't remember the exact words but, I think they sort of went like: Prop me up beside the jukebox when I die. I want to go to Heaven, but I don't want to go tonight. So, fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand..." Thanks for sharing.

EXACTLY! Are you sure you weren't a secret brother of Mike's? You two are so much alike, it actually scares me sometimes when you say some of the stuff you do. I love it and I can't help but laugh, but it sounds exactly like something he would mutter to me. He use to tell me to throw him in the dumpster or out back in the river...Yuck! I'm not stinking up my backyard with someone's dead (you now what). Laughing my self silly...Smiles, Carol

My dad and I were sitting around one Sunday afternoon talking about how we hate funerals. So, we agreed to be cremated. His wife asked, "and what do you want us to do with the ashes." We both laughed and said at the same time, "Who gives sh...! We'll be dead. Do anything you want with the damn ashes." And thankfully the ashes don't stink. But be careful, when the wind gets a hold of those them, they'll about put your eyes out and choke you to death. LOL.

My luck I would be saying something, a gust of wind would come and I would swallow someone's parts... LOL

And if you Mike's relative... don't go there or I will have to wash your mouth out. LOL

LOL. The best part is: you wouldn't know which part they were.

This is a very interesting story. It was a little mysterious for me. But sometimes that is cool. I do not see any room for improvement. The picture absolutely matches the story.

Begin Again
While was reading your romantic. I wished it was real not a ream.
All through your mystical dream, smiles when you said in the end of dream. Made me weep a bit made Smile when--
Naomi's spirit ascended into heaven with her beloved stranger at her side. At last, it was not the end, but just the beginning.
