This should be a six it is powerful lesson for all because hand caps can be taught to persevere and live among as as afunctinfpg person. I worked at Sunland in Orlando back in the day. I made so much different in their live it made me proud to be a part of their short lives.

Good luck in the True Story Contest, Kace. This was remarkable. It showed your interest in Joey, Patty and Richard. You went the extra mile for them. I like your determination, especially after your accident. This story as well as what you have done is truly a testimony of your life. Well done.

    You are so welcome Kace, there are specific people I remember but that's what makes us great nurses, isn't it?

This is a very heart-warming story about your angels. But, equally important, your references to the staff show how jaded people can become toward others with severe disabilities. Very few people have the love and commitment required for successful relationships. I was so sorry to read about your accident and amputation.

I noticed a few writing things:

You are missing some paragraph breaks

Next was Patty, so much love she bowled me over every time I turned up for work she took my hand and led me to our little room. -- run-on sentence

Wednesdays was cooking day. ==> Wednesday

24 seater ==> 24-seater

Those years at the workshop were the best times, the three angels gave me love, made me feel special and I will never forget them. -- run-on sentence

What a lovely story. I think the key was that you looked inside, and tried to find ways to make their lives more interesting and fruitful and satisfying. How devastating that your accident cut that time short. You would have been wonderful in that role. Well written.

This piece grabbed my attention straight from the start. I saw the length of it but wanted more. I find if they are lengthy pieces you need to focus on the starting sentence by making sure you capture ones interest. You did this so well and I feel I know the three angels. Thank you for your piece it was heartfelt and genuine and so beautifully written.

Well done
