The story is delightful, but a little difficult to follow. In my judgment, I like the author's notes better than the story. Maybe, because it is about us at Fan Story. Famous storybook characters are great for children but, I feel too adult to get into this story. I will try something else that might be more to my liking.
Have a great day,
Jesse

Hi Jesse....this was just a story for a contest that I wrote...not my usual style. Thanks for the review. Carol

Hello Carol.
I'm sorry I wasn't as positive as you were with my posts. As you said, it was not your usual style.

Not a problem... Didn't bother me a bit. Just keep on smiling!

All right! Let's both keep smiling!

I think I'll keep this one for my granddaughter; it's delightful!
It reminds me of a play we put on at camp when I was 10. It was called "The Mystery of the Fractured Fairy Tales." All the "good guys" were in the story we created.
Thanks for the sweet break in my day.

Oh, thank you so much. I am going to combine some of them and publish for my grandchildren as well. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a great day!

"Mirror, Mirror, what do I see?" is cleverly done. It makes quite a fairytale adventure and certainly will be entertaining for children, especially when it becomes accompanied by adorable illustrations.

This is a cute and sweet story that I found enjoyable. The animal characters were interesting with quirks and opinions all their own. This fact really brought them to life. I like how everyone banded together to help Cinder prepare for the party. In the end, she decided to share her birthday with her true friends. What a nice theme!

It's dark outside - no sun - but you lit up my morning with your beautiful and kind words plus the shiny stars. It's just a little moral for us to remember and I thought the tiny animals gave it charm. Thank you so so much ... Ooops! Almost signed my name --- Have a great day!

You did a great job with your contest entry, Mystery Author. I enjoyed reading it. Your lines flow well with a good story to tell. I like the way all the critters worked together to help Cinder. She in return realized that those were her true friends and not those at some fancy party in the castle. I like the personification of the critters. Your image is perfect. Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Well, I thank you very much for such a kind and wonderful review. I appreciate that the moral came through clearly. With so few words to work with, it's difficult at times. I hoped the little animals added another dimension to the fairy tale. Thanks again!

I really like the way you wove these fairy tale characters together and gave them a family type feel. My only suggestion would be to bring the mirror more into the acton of the story.

That was a hilarious twist on the old fairytales. I'm pretty sure I saw a few Cinderella characters in there. Which story may I ask did you get the chipmunks from?

Alvin and the Chipmunks - my son's favorite (well, a long time ago it was). I have no idea why this popped into my head since I think I was supposed to write a scary one - but the mirror said otherwise. Thanks for stopping by and for the kind review. Have a terrific day!

So you write children's stories too? This is a wonderful story for kids and adults alike, with so many characters from classic fairy tales. Good for you, and good luck in the contest.
