Dear Mystery Writer,
What a fun post! I can actually relate, to tell the truth. I have a hard time letting go of stuff - but I was raised with folks who went through the Great Depression and who never let go of ANYTHING. I get it honestly. But I'm trying to learn. ahaha Great piece. Tanks!

Wow! You and your husband must be the king and queen of collecting stuff--all of it good stuff--mind you. I enjoyed reading your contest entry. You described all of the things well. I could see all of them as I read. I wonder what will happen when the pandemic is better controlled. You may have to build onto your house to store those found objects. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you Jan for your review and kind words. I told him to think about what to donate when we can get to the thrift stores. I know the Beatle clock will go for sure.
Talk care.

One wonders where the term, hobby ends and obsession begins, but as long as you don't have to forge a pathway through the junk in your house, and the front door, it's probably a mild irritation rather than an emergency, and if it serves to make Him happy, why not? And he could do serial killing as a hobby! Well done, a fabulous post, good luck, that's what I say, blessings, Roy
Typo : we have an old-fashion(ed)

An interesting life that makes me glad my husband only collects glass bottles and I occasionally sell a few with his permission. I would go crazy with your household. I have convinced my husband that he can clean all the bottles and he helps. Maybe you could pass that task on to your hubby. Best of luck with this.

Oh, my goodness! I thought my husband was bad with not letting go of things, but he doesn't purchase many new "old" things. I could never remain in your house for long, I'm sorry to say. It would drive me out of my mind. Good luck in the contest.

This is quite a humorously written piece. I personally think there is a bit of hoarding as well as collecting going on. I also think we all have an over abundance of something. I collect adult coloring books and have created hundreds of beautiful and intricate colored pictures that are stacked in a box. This piece is enjoyable and well written. Bless you for sharing a description of your home. Best wishes in the contest.

Answer: HOARDER! If it was just a passion for clocks--and, maybe, radios and barometers--that's three strikes then he's out of collector category. Charming piece, well narrated with wry humor.
Eating dinner, we have 4 factory clocks to tell us the time in the kitchen.
sugg reword:
When we eat dinner, four factory kitchen clock tell us the time.
It is the size of a bungalow without the charm [or=>OF] a single Cape Cod home [sugg OMIT: without the beach or the Cape]
Sugg: be consistent with number representations--you have some in digits, some spelled out. There are various conventions--generally numbers from zero to one hundred should be spelled out.

Oh my. I couldn't even handle a single grandfather clock. If I lived in a house like that I would go cuckoo without the cuckoo clock. Interesting story.

well, I would say that I'm speechless but all I can think is, how do you stand it? More power to you if you can, which obviously you can. Is there still a Ripley's Believe it or not? If so.... they might include your house.
That was amazing read. I will take a wild guess that neither of you are easily rattled. :)
Take care.

Thank you for the read and review. Actually, the clocks become background noise after awhile, so you do not notice.
