The concept of success or failure, has to do with perception. When I was about 15, I gave up the notion of trying to impress people. Now, if I impress someone, it's an accident. Success or failure, is like lending someone a good deal of cash to get him or her out of trouble and then this person turns around and buys a new car. Was this person, lending money, a success or a failure? Best wishes.

A few things that jumped out at me. The word that is a killer for many writers myself included. Below are some suggestions. Thank for shay.
The words cut, drop the word just.
Inferiority sets in, you feel like a loner and don't fit in, drop the word that.
Fear has invaded your psychic and crippled you, drop the word has.

Yes, failure can be so crippling if one remains in that frame of mind. I think most have experienced this. Many successful people failed before they succeeded ( Walt Disney, Colonel Sanders, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs Oprah Winfrey, Henry Ford, Steven Spielberg).
I always loved the quote "If at first you don't succeed, try and try again".
