What a great story - the story, because its true, and the story you've posted here, because it's so well written.
'Small groups of finely-dressed people dot the dance floor.'
I also like the way you fool the reader by describing a wedding scene that turns out to be a movie scene.

thank you for your kind words. The movie has a similar twist in it too. The trailer led people to believe it was about a wedding but tragically it really was the difficult journey afterward and then the promise of a new beginning.
