Nice concise ekphrastic poem about the picture. It is a great photo and reminds us ot the beauty and peacefulness of nature.

Congrats on your recognition for this charming lune in fine form--I just now learned that the presentation should be crescent-shaped with line two the shortest and three the longest per literal length. Cheers. LIZ

I've been reading lots of Lune Poetry as the entrants to the contest. It's rather addictive when done well, like yours! Using the black background and white font color is SO effective in highlighting the full moon and thus enhancing the theme of your poem! There is something about a full moon that fine tunes heartstrings, isn't there? Loved this...Karenina

Never having been near Lake Superior, I trust your excellent description for your lunar-like poem (-;

Both picture and words paint a beautiful scene.

If you wanted an edit, I would suggest:

on a moonlit night

(with your picture, the full moon is obvious, but as a standalone, I don't think the particular phase makes a difference in your poem IMHO)

    Thank you for reading. I thought about saying moonlit night, but in the end I just liked how full moon night sounded. Great suggestion though. Thanks again. :)

You did a great job in this lune poem contest, a very popular one. Your three lines has a certain creativity and much charm. I have never seen Lake Superior, now I am interested. Nice.

A very well-written lune poem about nthe bright sparkles on the lake thug only appear on a full mon night when the moonbeams want to play on the surface of the lake.
