Beautifully written with excellent description of what is taking place. The full moon which lightens the landscape in a soft serene silver beams. Your excellent background enhances the written words of your wonderful 5-7-5 contest entry. Good luck!!

Hello Susan...yes, dear, I am back on...taking my time grinding the gears again, but making them work! My precious Eternal Muse is once again directing me in the right direction or I would be writing some pretty nasty things (lol). Looking so forward to reading you again....

-Very nice image
and presentation.
-A well written poem
with good syllable count,
topic, and imagery.
-Effective personification
in line two and the theme
of the dance in the concluding
line, as well.
-Good luck in the contest.

This 5-7-5 is just right for November, when leaves of all colors are losing grip on their branches, especially in the chill of the night. You found the perfect illustration for your words. Yes, the twirling of falling leaves does resemble a pirouette in dance; and it is indeed their last dance before they accumulate on the ground to become mulch to insulate shallow tree roots from the cold of winter and return nutrients to the soil. You vividly show us here how beautifully wise is the cycle of life. Superb.
