TIme certainly does seem to stand still when the heart is grieving. I don't really understand the next to last sentence, first part - "What is the prepares". Nevertheless, you have written a sadly beautiful about life after the death of a beloved spouse. Blessings, Linda

You have just written the last three years of my mothers life. Only it was 64 years married. The clock did indeed stop on the date my father died, my mother died mentally, found no purpose left in her life, she finally died almost 3 years to the day. The clock did stop, it waited for my mother to be with her husband. My mum and dad together. I thought your poem was like a message to me, you are the only one I have known who understands that what happens when one has lost their other half, or someone very close. xsx sandra

I feel the true core of this story is the loss of the wife after sixty years. Start with that. Is the widower trying to find solace in clocks? No? Make that clearer. Otherwise, good job.

you missed the point the clock stopped with death this time in space, you are to young to remember the clock for the SAS time stands still till the return of soldiers
