I have missed your poetry, have you been gone? This is yet another stunning poem from your talented poem. One can't help but feel sorry for the protagonist, his life depends on a drug to make him happy. Instead it is despair that he feels the most. Your word choices are profound and evocative. A timely and disturbing picture of the heroin addict.
The anguish comes through very clear, and stark.
I have known addicts - some of them good friends. They all would sing your song in chorus.

Even though this deals with some dark and depressing topics it speaks of reality and truth. We can only wonder at times what an addict may feel or think and the despair they endure. Well done.

This is so very sad, A cry for help. The descriptions are vivid.Desperation is in every line. This is so sad but necessary to be sadi. A lesson for others not to take the same path.Good job

Very real and very visceral. Gets to the utter holpeness of the situation.
I really like the line "The noise of my inner soul dying is barely heard over the sound of the city."
It's very poignant to the feeling of insignificance that accompanies the drug usage.
