This is lovely. The rhythm flows
peacefully along and blends perfectly
with your words. it is what we all
long for. Good job. It was a pleasure
to read.

Hi again!
This one is really nice.
I am finding myself yearning for
a drive in the country!
The second stanza,
Oh, to have a field of that bountiful,
Glorious taste waiting to be sipped,
To give the heart song;
I loved that part!

I love how the title of the poem is repeated at the start of each verse, it reminds me of the subject matter. Whatever follows 'peace, sweet peace' complements it perfectly. Well done!

This is a nice piece with a gentle tone. I usually don't like the repeating of words in each stanza, but this poem used it well. The word choice was strong and it kept the poem powerful yet gentle at the same time. The metaphor creates nice imagery and continues the tone of the poem in a great way.
Overall this is a very nice poem and a pleasure to read,
GP

This is gorgeous! As befits the subject, the tone of your poem is peaceful, serene, contemplative. I love the way you address the poem TO peace and ask it not to wrest you away from its fleeting presence. Stumbled upon in the rarest of moments - you have captured the truth, that peace can't be arranged, it just happens, and lasts none too long.

Pearl, thank you for commenting on my addressing the poem TO 'peace'. I knew I did it, yet have not overtly pondered it and you've highlighted that. Thank you! I certainly appreciate your review and all your lovely comments.....yours, Sue

Hi 6teezkid...this is a lovely poem that is so serene. Everyone should have such a place to go and see the wonders in nature. I often write about nature...well mostly, I guess. There is a plethora of beautiful sights to write about. The repetition of Peace, sweet peace....works very well...well done....chey

I was in a state of peace when I wrote this. Sure didn't know where it came from, but rushed to express it before it left! HA! I thank you so much for your review and lovely and specific comments. Much appreciated......Sue

As you describe a yearning for peace sweet peace and all that it entails, I imagine your words read softly, and tranquility enfolds me as I float away on a duvet cloud ... I loved the line :rest in the arms of a breeze... Yes it may be fleeting, but oh so sweet.

Hello 6 teezkid, Nice poem. It covers a topic we are all looking for these days. So that part is very nice. The repetition of the first line in each stanza is a bit redundit. I think you might be better off to only use it, say every other stanza. Also I would use a period at the end of the last stanza. If you would like to consider a change I would be happy to give you another point.

A very well written poem with a very good cadence making for a very easy read. It has excellent imagery and descriptive scheme. A suggestion--"Sweet nectar of serenity" and "The birthing of Hope."

Ahhh.. peace is fleeting, is it not? I like the way you explored many of peace's manifestations. You've given us more sources, that we might find peace a little less fleeting after all. I really liked the third stanza; it represents my definition of peace very much. Thanks for a great read. Adam
