First rate court-room drama with all the right elements to keep us reading to the end, It caught my attention immediately and kep my interest right to the end. Brilliant narrative style (all in the present tense, which is difficult to maintain) and excellent - natural conversational dialogue, which is so very important in developing the characters and plot. The ending was a delight!

Janilou,
This is an excellent story, and it certainly fits in with the contest rules. I enjoyed reading it, and I couldn't find any nits.
It is an odd tale of coincidences.

Wow! Jan, this is a fantastic murder mystery scenario. I absolutely loved the twist of the knife at the end. Who'd of thought wife number one would show up on the jury? You've got the knack, gal. Kudos and good luck in the contest.

Absolutely brilliant! I'm a lover of twists and what a twist that was. Wow! The whole story was as good as anything you'd find on the bookshelves. If this doesn't win ... but I'm sure it will. The best of luck! Tom (sorry, don't have a six ... although this needs a ten)

This is a good story, well written with very good dialogue.
The pace runs smoothly throughout and the descriptive passages are very true to life.
I saw no spag in this well constructed story and I feel it stands a good chance in the contest.
Best wishes
