Oh, I've been there. I know, even if it's the right thing to do, how difficult divorce can be. It took years to recover but recover we do! IF "vs" counts, you have 16 words! Otherwise, excellent

Jude, vs. is a word. Thank you for catching it. I counted 3 times. DUH! I changed last line to: We cry. Yes, it is surreal, but then we do recover. Thank you for your generous review and picking up on that error. Always appreciates, Sue

My pleasure Sue! You've done the same for me.

"March 2001" is a powerfully written and yet heartbreaking poem of divorce and separation. Good picture there too. The last statistic I hear was there are just about as many married people now as divorced. People change, grow, kids, money, stress and so much more pull people in all different directions.

Well this certainly is heart-breaking, Sue. Such few words but what power. The sadness is almost unbearable. I can just imagine that no matter what caused you and your husband to part, you obviously still felt the enormous void that those final papers brought. I hope you're in a happier place now. Great poem - good luck in the contest.
Warm regards.

The end. So few words but so many tears. My divorce was my idea so I cried for the lose of something that could have been wonderful. Great read. joan marie

Yes, what could have been. Very difficult to see the final papers. Thank you for your review. Sorry you had to go through it also. Sue
