A very wonderful choice of words - "the nectar so longed for" "To have a field of that bountiful/glorious taste waiting to be sipped" Such loveliness you've portrayed here. Thank you for sharing.

This was so peaceful. The words are very smooth as they flow from word to word. There are tranquil moments and I could fell the coolness of it's depths.

I really liked this well written poem. In my life there have been times when peace is very fleeting as a personal war raged. But I have also had those peaceful moments and a refreshing change of pace. Farm roads work very well, as it gives easy access to the other sense that complete that peace, sight, sound and smell.

Your poem flowed smoothly and was a very easy read. The essence of wanting to enjoy and hold on to peace from every day stresses was apparent.
I love your style.--- Rest in the arms of a breeze ---my favorite line

Summergirl, Thank you very much for taking the time to read and review my poem. I most certainly appreciate your generous review and all comments. (Ok, it is my poem, but I will say that I also like that line very much! I "felt" it so much when I wrote it....there were no other words to describe my feeling that day). So much appreciated. Sincerely, Sue

Ya, lets hear it for peace. Cool deal.
I liked this bit especially-

Peace, sweet peace
Oh, to have a field of that bountiful,
Glorious taste waiting to be sipped,
To give the heart song;

Cheers
Scott

Jim, thank you for totally appreciating what it takes to raise 6 kids! Ha!!! Now that they are gone from home, I miss them so much being about the house. BUT, that peace does come a little easier. Thank you so much for your taking the time to read and comment on my poem and for your most generous review. Warmest regards, Sue

Hi 6teezkid,

This actually quite beautiful. I'll be honest & say that I nearly didn't read it because I didn't particularly care for your other poem, which I didn't critique. But this one I like.

It flowed nicely & read beautifully. You described it well and I liked the feeling of it.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

smiles,

deb

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, view and concept with the rest of us. I enjoyed reading this and the imagery that came forth.
It is well worded and well expressed with a good flow and rythmn to it from beginning to end.
The imagery your words portrayed shows one able to find peace in the most simplest of ways, even amidst turmoil and chaos.
The serenity and tranquility experienced is enough to refresh, restore and renew while gently soothing the tired and worn soul. Sometimes the escape is in the mind where one ventures off to a far off land, and other times it is a quite but short walk to the letterbox or a walk around the garden just enjoying the simple beauty of nature and the environment.
Thank you for the journey your words took me on and many blessings to you
