I like the sweet entonnation of a triolet. You raise to the challenge, dear friend. The three repetions of "I hold your music in my heart" give it strenght to your poem.

Yes, with the triolet, that one particular line which requires repetition had better not be boring! HA! Thanks so much for your great review. With warmest regards, Sue

Hi, Sue, as I just said to Brooke, I'm not a fan of such short forms having so much repetition. That being said, you've somehow crafted the reps almost invisibly into this great tribute to the man and his music. That takes some skill! Smashing entry. Good luck n love, Ray xx

Very good, this is a form I have never seen before but you did it well. A triolet it evens has a nice sound to it. Good job and good luck.

I do love to write a triolet now and then. Fits well with certain subjects that can withstand the repetition. Thanks very much for your lovely review. With regards, Sue

You picked a great composer to write about. My favorite is the first two and a half minutes or so of his Requiem (Dies Irae). I have a few of his pieces downloaded onto my computer that I listen to sometimes while writing. Love it!
Anyway, this poem is well-written, and as always, you've stayed true to structure. Well done!

Did you know that they played Dies Irae on X-Men 2, while Nightcrawler was going through the White House, beating people up to get to the president? The first time I saw that movie, I was like hey...I recognize that music! LOL So I checked, and sure enough, that's it!

Never saw the film! But great choice of music!

This is a very nice poem, although I prefer Bach, personally! It's an interesting composition - I haven't read a triolet before. The repeated lines are effective. Good luck with the contest. :)

I have this personal battle with myself: Mozart, Beethoven or Bach. Then, I ask myself the "desert island" question....it always comes back to having to have Mozart's music with me. Ha! Piano Concerto 25 in G minor is one of my favorites. Thanks for your great review! Sue
