A wonderful and well-told story. I was glad the selfish children didn't find his hidden money. I hope, though, you will some day write a sequel telling us who did find the hidden coffee can and what they were able to accomplish because of it. Nicely told tale and great entry for this contest.

Very well written. I can relate, having lost my wife a few years back. Your poem flowed wonderfully and kept me intrigued throughout. And it is fitting that the coffee can was never found. Good luck in the contest.

This is a fun write about this old man who buried his money in a coffee can. It's amazing where all the relatives come from when there is a death as they are in the hope of inheriting money, I've seen it first hand, I enjoyed your story and rhymes, love Dolly x

I enjoyed reading this rhythmic verse. Great story in a poem that flows smoothly and succinctly through the tale in a logical way. Great linear presentation helps it move along at a good clip. Well done on this poem.
