Aw, Bill, thank you so very much for the 6 stars. I am really pleased with what you have said. It really is worthwhile to stick with it, the joy is quite amazing. Whether or not any of us get to JK Rowling's status, is not what it's about. (Not that I'd by dismayed to get that status of course, lol) It's more about personal achievement, and the support from all of you. Thank you, big time, my friend! :)

Pam is being tremendously helpful to me with her suggestions. this is a new venture for me and I'm more than a little nervous about it! Having the support of friends on FS is a great motivator to keep going.

Pam was one of the reviewers that made me take what was to be a 'short story' into a novel, and then into the trilogy, lol. With the support you will get on here, you will be fine. I had only written poetry up until my first book. I will watch with interest. Good luck. :) xx

Many congratulations on the publication of the second book in the trilogy. It is the promotion side that puts me off publishing. I am the world's worst salesmen. I think death is the best publicist. Most authors and poets are far better known dead than alive, but all strength to your elbow. Get in there and prove me wrong.

Thank you, Jim. I know what you mean. It's quite daunting but I will do what I can but it will have to be with little cost. I have just received my copy, and I'm really pleased with it. At least my grandchildren will have something of me what I do pop my clogs! lol. Now I have to finish this trilogy and get back to poetry and perhaps some shorter stories. Congratulations on your publication. I understand the excitement of bringing it all together. I published completely independently and only used the services of an online printer. I'm currently setting up a DIY website where people can get all the info on publishing from start to finish,including marketing and even building your own website. Whilst many complain about the various rules and regulations here (me included) all crap aside, FS is a wonderful place for bringing like minded people together with their craft. It has been a fantastic learning experience for me and I would NOT be the writer I am if I hadnt come here, nor would I have just set up a publishing business LOL

You must let me know when your DIY website is open, I'll be popping in there. There is so much to learn when writing, it's does't end with 'The End' that is when the hard work really starts. Gosh Sandra, you are SO right.
With that said the entire journey is doable by ones self. My plan is to give people ALL the info in one area. There is also back up assistance packages for those who want to opt out or can't complete a step in the process.

Hi Roy, I've missed reading you, it's been chaos, but I'm finally there and will be reviewing again. All I wanted was to hold my books and have my family be proud of me. They are, and I'm holding both books now. Fame and fortune are for those who have the time and energy (and the money) to promote like mad. I have none of those. Having not been witness to the development of this book your write up is amazing.
I love how you have included struggle, achievement, and desire to attain your dreams. You should be very proud.

As a struggling new member here upon FanStory, I was proud of my creations and thought my skills were totally amazing...(reality Check) in my mind I can definitely assimilate with your closing comment

Welcome to Fanstory, Bridget, and thank you so much for this lovely review. I remember when I first joined FS, I was utterly convinced my work was super amazing! LOL, they soon put me right. What I liked was how the reviewers told me they liked the stories but that they needed work. So, once I'd come down to earth, I began the journey of really learning to write. They taught me so much, and by reading their work, I was learning even more. I will be writing the 3rd in the trilogy now, and will also be shooting over to your profile to read your work.
