A lovely conclusion - tying up the loose ends and with a little romance added - just perfect, Patty.
Its little wonder she ended up in the mental - It's
How on earth did she expect them to gather together and paste smiles on their faces[.](?)

Hi Margaret; thank you for continuing to read this saga. I so appreciate the kind words of encouragement you gave me along the way.
Thank you for continuing to help me with the nits. I've gone back and made the edits.
Your continuing support means a great deal to me,

Hi Patty,
Very nice tying of things up here in the final instalment. Very fitting too.
Its little wonder she ended up in the mental - It's.
How on earth did she expect them to gather together and paste smiles on their faces. - this probably still needs the question mark.

Hi G; I am so thankful to you for reading along with this saga, and all of the encouragement you gave me on the way to the conclusion.
I do appreciate you catching my nits and I've made the edits - thank you.
Now that this story is done, I need to find another group of characters to write about,

Yes, it was fun. I guessed Jane was alive, but I couldn't figure out why she was trying to get the family together when they obviously wanted no part of it. I kind of felt sorry for Agnes; she's probably depressed, but the rest of them got what they deserved. Jane told them, but somehow I doubt they heard anything. They wouldn't be capable of it.

Hi Cindy; thank you so much for reading along through to the end. I'm sure you had some idea of what was coming and I have to agree with you that for some of the family - the words went in one ear and out the other.
I'm kind of sorry to say goodbye to these characters; they were so much fun to write!

Hi Jill; thank you so much for this wonderful review. I had to have Kathy come out on top - she certainly deserved it.
I'm kind of sorry to say goodbye to these characters; they were so much fun to write!
Your shiny stars helped to make my day,

I certainly enjoyed the read and its completely unexpected twist in the end! I never saw that coming, although I'm usually pretty good at guessing the right ending. Bravo!
Below are a couple of nits:
With the help of a few hidden devices throughout the facility, I('ve-delete) could hear all of you and your many conversations.
I realize it was your father than(that) helped with homework, took you to your activities, and attended every game and function you participated in.
Hugs,
Aki

Hi Aki; thank you so much for reading this saga all the way through. I'm pleasantly surprised that you didn't see the end coming. Jane was a wily old broad!
Thank you for catching the nits; I already went and did the edits.
Now, I have to think about my next project - but first, I need to write another 'Howie and Bernie' story for their fans!

Howie and Bernie coming up hot and delicious - yay!

She has only herself to blame for her divorce but herself
The six is for the whole thing, as it was the best I have read that had me in tears. The same thing happened to my mother but it was after she died and I took the blunt of hate from my sister in law and her kids. This was great

Hi Barb; thank you so much for the exceptional rating of this piece. I'm so glad you enjoyed it - through your tears, that is. I think there are a great many families that have this kind of dysfunction, and the malice is usually directed towards one person. I'm sorry to hear that in your family - it was you.
Thank you for reading the saga through to the end. Now, I have to come up with another idea - but not until I post a 'Howie and Bernie' story.

I had a feeling the old lady was still alive and playing a trick, but you had me fooled for most of this story.
sadly, I imagine this story plays out in every day life all too often.
Great story with terrific characters and a wonderful message.
I truly enjoyed this story.

Hi Michael; thank you so much for the first review of this conclusion. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and you liked the wrap-up. I loved having Kathy and Doug be the victors.
Thanks for reading through to the end,
