This is so nice. These babies are adorable--your grandsons. What a joy. Your poem is well written and touches my heart and I think the heart of any mom or grandma who reads it. Marilyn

Thank you Marilyn for the great review and for saying the babies are adorable. They still are now at nearly 6 years old. Thanks for six wonderful stars!

You're so welcome.

Written by a proud grandparent. Aaah, this poem is so incredibly cute and appropriate for the love poem contest.
Are they identical or fraternal twins?
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much:) They are identical twins. Even at 6 years old, I have trouble sometimes telling them apart.

They're precious. :)

This poem tells of the circle of life. Your baby has babies. It is always fun and prideful to watch babies hit each stage.
Good luck and keep writing.

Bravo! This is a lovely piece and I liked your use of the first stanza as the last except for love from past to present grandchildren. I also thought this worked well without rhyme as it would have seemed strained. It flows well and I liked the way it sits on the page!

Don't blink this week--they're turning 12 tomorrow and 18 the week after that. Lovely memories of your motherhood and your children and grandchildren. (They of course will be mortified, so don't tell them.)

Very emotive and touching love poem poetry contest free-verse entry. Nothing is sweeter to write about than babies!!!! That's an automatic six-star review (wish I had one left!). Are the babies a picture of your own or grandchildren? Adorable. Words in verses flow smoothly and with such ease. Content is so tender and loving. Nothing not to like/love about this work. If I had a six-star rating left, this would get it. Accept my virtual six-star rating. God bless and hugs, Susanne

Comment from Gloria ....
This is an excellent theme to write for the love poem contest, Teresa. Certainly love comes in all forms and that for our children is significantly different than any other kind of love.
Your poem works well in illustrating the cycle of life from one generation to the next.
The only suggestion I have is to end the last line in present tense:
Oh, how I love you so.
Great job and best wishes to you in the contest.

I loved your poem. And I can relate to it so very well. Raise two twin granddaughters. Love it, but now they are grown with their own! Your poem was cute and lively, such as the little ones would be. Loved it!

A-w-w-w-w. Such cute little tykes, LOL.
You must be very proud. I think that's quite obvious after having read this delightfully rendered ode to them.
I liked the book-end start and finish to this, Teresa. It really makes a profound statement concerning the never-ending, wonderful cycle of life.
Well done, and I wish you the very best of luck in the contest's outcome.
