Very well done, Sue. The Old Masters are truly timeless in their ability to create lasting beauty. When we visited the Louvre, each antiquainted painting spoke so relevently of today. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings, Linda

Sue, your septolet is lovely. It creates a picture in my mind of our great artists and the legacy that they leave. You had a lot of limitations so this must be a tough contest.

When I saw the word Septolet, I thought it meant someone had eight babies. This is one of my first reviews of this type of poetry. It looks good to me. From your notes, the syllable count works out. I think you make a good point about the masters living on in their works. There is a sense of immortality there. Well done- Sam

LMAO!!! Like Octomom!! HA!! Immortality is there as long as there is an audience to appreciate. And thank God, there is! They've inspired generation after generation. Thank you so much for your great review. Sue :-))

YES! That is what was on my mind when I wrote this. How civilized we are to house and exhibit these treasures for all to appreciate. Thank you for your great review. Sue

"Galleries of Treasure" is a beautifully written Septolet. It paints a picture of a museum filled with masterpieces of art from the masters of past. Well done as always.

NightWriter, I do love to walk into a Museum and find treasures. Whether it be the Old Masters to new art that blows my mind! Ignites so many senses. Thank you for your great review! Sue

I bet your walls are full of beautiful paintings and I bet you could never drive past a museum of art without going in and marveling at the old masters works. Very well done, you are a bit of an old master yourself when it comes to these short structured poems Sue, did I just call you old....No! Zen...yea, Zen master...That is what I meant to say, ha ha, great work friend, regards your mate Hitch.

Let's say I'm on the "cusp" of old! HA! But, they do say the 50's are the new 40's. LOL!!! I do love art and have some special pieces that mean a lot to me. Yes, when I do go to a new city, I do go to their museums! From the Old Masters to the new abstract/expressionism. I do love to appreciate good art!! Thanks for your great review, my friend! Sue

Another piece of the puzzle that is you can now be placed gently into place, we have a long way to go but I do enjoy puzzles, ha ha.That was an easy piece to find!

Okay, I'm thick! Whatever your riddle was went right over my head!!
Tell me again!!!!!
-
I would never call you think, Oh crazy one!! I'm just meaning that i know you only by what i learn abou you from you, i have an idea of what your like, hence me thinking you would have art on your walls and you wouldn't be able to drive past a museum but until you confirm or bebuff my idea I'm just guessing. when you tell me YES another peice of the puzzle that is you slides into place, I hope you don't think you know me completely already, There are many pieces of my puzzle you have not discovererd yet...MANY, who knows i could be missing a piece or two which would make me incomplete. Look how much I had to write, I take it back you are thick... Ha ha, but your my mate so i'll let it slide, ha ha.
I'm taking the little one for swimming lessons, so i'll read you later. take it easy!

Hey, let's get into our first fight!!
"You're the one who's thick!!! You had to write a 1,000 word essay to explain to me what you meant earlier and now I don't even understand the essay!"
LMAO!!!
Just joking, Hitch. NOW I know what you were saying.
Pieces of the puzzle about me? You have no idea....
I've lived ten lives in one. Problem is, I don't know which one I am now! LOL!!!
