You showing off again? My lover of all things refined, which leaves me out in the cold unfortunately, ha ha. I was tempted to have a go at this, maybe then next one, I'll read and enjoy this contest first so that I won't go blindly into the night when the next one comes around. Mozart...As background music in a movie scene; definitely, to listen to in my free time, never thought to give him a go, but Never Say Never!

Hitch, you know me...I love the refined and the coarse! HA! Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin....great to have around the house while doing anything. Except...making love....now THAT's Miles Davis! LOL!!! Uh oh...I'm being coarse! Thanks for your great review, Hitch. Yours, Sue

Hi Sue...this is an excellent triolet. I love classical music so this theme appeals to me. When I took piano lessons...a hundred years ago...my teacher started me out on the classics and they took for good. Wonderful poem. Good luck in the contest....blessings....chey

You were so fortunate to have those lessons! Mozart is my favorite classical composer, but it is Liszt and Chopin who put me to sleep every night with their nocturnes. Better than Ambien! HA! Thanks so much for your great review. Fondly, Sue

great tribute to Mozart both in content and title; well written; meets the contest rules and I think it's a strong entry; good artwork too; creative, best wishes in the voting booth!

Absolutely beautiful. Fulfills the requirements of the prompt. Terrific subject. I love classical music and Mozart is one of my favs. I love classical piano. Very well done, as usual Sue. :) Cheryl

This is wonderful Sue. I love your rhymes and it flows really well. It's a lovely form - one I've never tried - and you've done really well with it. A great contender for the contest. Good luck.

Hugs

Roisin

You should give it a try. Not as difficult as it seems. Write the first two lines which is basically your "thesis". And those are the same two lines at the bottom. Type those in. Then fill in the other lines! HA! Give it a try and see if you'd like to enter the contest. Thanks for your very kind review. Sue

Unfortunately, not eligible for the contest but I might just post one anyway.

You could not have found a person more deserving of a glorious tribute. He may have died many years ago, but his genius lives on in the hearts of those who hold his musical talents in their hearts. I was priviledged to see the house in Austria where Mozart spent part of his childhood. It was such a thrill to know that I was in the same building where Mozart once carried on daily life. This triolet is the best I have read so far. Excellent flow and word choice. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings to you, Linda

AHH!! So jealous you went into his home in Salzburg! I MUST get there one day. I hear you....how in awe you would be standing in the very spots he did. WOW! I have days of serious, heavy rock and roll and then there are those days I need Mozart. Odd thing about the world of arts. One can know they are gifted, but could not possibly conceive just how much of an impact it would have in the future. Just pondering.......Thanks for your great review, Sue

I love the fact that the music is the key to this poem. I love music although I can't write it, but certain songs play over and over in my head. Cristofori's dream is my latest obsession. Great work.

Let's get this straight - I write about some moment of passion and then you, the philosopher and highbrow, write about a love for Mozart's music?? Are you trying to make me look like a hick? LOLOL Heir Mozart - do you mean Mr. Mozart in German? In that case it would be Herr Mozart
A fine triolet that makes you look much more cultured than I am! ;-) Brooke

LMAO!!!! A hick!! ....on the floor now!!!! I'm the REAL hick. Remember my roots are from Tennessee, baby. I'm cultured from Bluegrass to Mozart! HA!!! Love it all. Hey, stop trying to null and void my "upmanship" here by pointing out my misspelling of Herr. :-)) Sue

This ia fitting tribute to Mozart as well as a nice entry in the Triolet Challenge. Good job with a hard type of poem to work with in my opinion. Good Luck in the contest.

The triolet can be tricky. But I do love to write one once in awhile. Thank you very much for your most kind review. With regards, Sue

I was going to say it was a little repetitive, and then I read the notes. It is supposed to be repetitive. This is well executed given the constraints of the poem. Good job- Sam

Sam, I do love a triolet now and again. For certain subjects and sound, it does do well. Thanks so much for your very kind review. Sue
