You know not once did anyone take me to the hospital or ever call the police or 911 when I screamed for help. That is something I would never do. They had to take me to the hospital when that man assaulted me but never any other time. Good read. joan marie

Your right, you'd think the noise alone would prompt someone to call about that. I would have never known who called. If the police had of come it would have been quite obvious. We had holes in walls and furnitured destroyed. I cannot imagine hearing that and sceaming and not doing anything. jm

I hate those bastards that prey on the weak, innocent--if I sound angry, I am. My family is riddled with this crap and the more we write about it and get the power--and our voices--back, the better. Good for your for putting it out there as a reminder. You do love this form, don't you?! :)

I like this form to tell a lot of detail in a very brief way. If you think about it, it's a bit like free verse, but has that nice shape! And one doesn't need to read all the details of such things. Putting down the STRONG words that create the scene and tell the story is what the ric does for me. I cannot even talk about this, so I felt the need to write it down.
