I love these movies mostly because of the two actors. They are perfect together. I am also aware of the way Minnesota men are about their fishing. I was raised as a child in Wisconsin and the men were basically the same there. Cute poem. Thanks for sharing

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I haven't been too many places since I have seen you last. They eyes are getting worse.
So I have a couple questions for you. Are you a packers fan and where in Wisconsin did you live? We have friends who lived in Hudson but had a nice cabin in Turtle Lake so we always loved the casino there.

I love our love/hate relationship with the Packer fans, even with our friends we had so much fun with our rivalry with them.

My cousin is a huge packers fan. I moved when I was 13 so wasn't into sports yet. I was born in Eau Claire and lived in a small town called ladysmith.

Hi Sandra, and thanks so much for the awesome review and for the kind comments. You are right, they are not grumpy but they sure call themselves it. When Glen comes home, he always yells, Wilma, I'm home. (Do you remember the Flintstones?) so he will say then to watch out cause now Fred Flintstone has turned into a grumpy ole man. I said Fred has always been. Haha.

Debi, that is the cutest poem and a whole new thing to know about you. I loved Grumpy old men and Lemon and Matthau. So your husband and buddy go ice fishing? Personally, I can't imagine anything worse... well, I can, but that would be on my list of things not to do.

So if you saw the movie then you saw one of them haul the fishouse off the lake while the other was in there. That is like my husband's but my son's is amazing. Hahaha, you are so funny. Thanks sweetie, and a fish house is what they are in to fish on the ice. My husband has a little one that fits four people and a wood stove but my son has one that weighs 20,000 lbs and his pick up to pull it weighs 21,000 lbs. so the ice has to be thick. My son's has a fire place, kitchen, full bath, living room three bedrooms. They have leather recliner chairs and a big screen tv for everyone to see right where their cork with the hook is. There is a little round carpet piece you pick up off the floor and cut a hole in the ice and you fish from there. It is super fancy and nice. I will send you a picture of it by email.

I must admit I loved the the movie Grumpy old men, and it's sequel, Grumpier old men, Lemmon and Matthaw were brilliant in that movie, as were Ann-Margaret, and Burgess Meredith, as Lemmon's father, as a dirty old man. Beautifully written dirty Debi, blessings Roy

Well Roy, this is a fun pastime and my grumpy old man really isn't so grumpy. Hey did you remember that Sophia Loren was in there too? I think that was only the second one.
