Very true and very right to question this famous adage! No matter how much we would wish them to heal, sometimes they never do, such as PTSD and, of course, debilitating, disabling and progressive conditions. Neatly expressed in this limited word count. Good luck in the contest! Debbie

    No fortunately my late teens were in the late 70?s but I did work for Aerospace and was around the toxic chemicals in that industry which along with diabetes caused me to have a leg amputated and lost my lost my left hand along with my right fingertips I think the combination are results of that time Blessings to you

    Oh, my goodness! That's atrocious. I hope it was a job you loved, at least, before it wreaked such havoc on your body.

Judging by the picture your poem makes lots of sense:"It actually isn't true
that Time heals all wounds.

Your words and that photo say it all. How many of our Wounded Warriors get better? I have a real problem justifying what they went through in Vietnam, Iraq, or Afghanistan.

    You're preaching to the choir, Rod. I've always felt that the people who declare war are the ones who should have to go fight it. Wonder how THAT would cut down on the number we have!

Wow, the picture and words match so well. It is true that time doesn't heal all wounds. That soldier will have to spend the rest of his life dealing with the wounds. Great job.

You bring out an important reality that is not often spoken about... time can heal most wounds, but as your image conveys, not all wounds... good luck in the contest!
