I am sorry to hear you that you have long Covid. I have a friend who lives here who also has long Covid and she has many of the same symptoms as you have described in your article. I wish you the very best with the eyesight and the cataract removal at some point. We would never forget you anyway, so don't worry about being forgotten. Patricia.

Your friend has my sympathy, Patricia, it's horrid. Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm glad I won't be forgotten, that is so sweet of you. I'm pulled two ways with my cataracts, wishing them to thicken faster, but I hate the idea of having a laser hit my eye. I'm a bit of a coward! Thanks, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Do not be overly concerned about the cataract surgery. It is very simple and it already even hurts. Once you get the cataract surgery done, your vision will improve so much that you will say. Why was I worried. I wish you the very best.

I'm so sorry about our long-covid diagnose. It sounds like hell. My husband and I got Covid19 once last year coming back from Italy. We just came back from Milan again now but no Covid this time. We do have leg cramps once in a while. Now we know why. We keep active and do all kinds of exercise. At least it helps with sleeping.

Take care, my friend. I suggest doing some outdoor walking. It always cheers me up.

It is hell, Jasmine, I never realised just how much when people would say they had it. Now I'm most sympathetic. I try to keep as active as I can, my hubby gets me out for a short walk when it's not to cold or raining. I'm sorry you are feeling some of these symptoms, but glad you are finding away to sleep better at night. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra. xx

Awww, Sandra ... You can whing (or whine, as we Yanks call it), any day. You have to be relieved though, that it isn't a brain tumor. Oh, the things that my imagination continually tries on for size. So, I gather you just need to wait, right? Some day you'll wake up and your taste will be back to normal and you'll be running around like a teen. I have four of the items on that list, fatique, dizziness, shortness of breath, and muscle cramping, not so much aching. My taste is okay. I suppose I should check out the full list. Also I have pressure in my ears, that I've attributed to ear wax buildup. Like you, tinitis has been with me for many years.

Sandra, don't add the stress of posting or even reviewing if you don't feel like it. Be good to your body while its out of sorts.

Thank you, lovely Sandra, for your medical updates. We do care here.

Jay

Aging is a bitch! But it passes the time. LOL!!! Jay, you are funny, I'm finding it's passing too fast. I must email you and answer your last question. You go easy with that dizziness, I think that is the most dangerous. You don't know when it's going to come, and it could be nasty if, for example, it's at the top of the stairs. That's what worries me most. Tiredness is wearing me out, I know that sounds silly, but it does. It could be because I try not to give in to it.

Thank you, dear friend, I really appreciate your concern, I do know you all care. There is no nicer family in the world thank ours here at FS. Love you lot, my friend. Sandra xx

I'm really sorry you're not feeling well (understatement of the century, I'm sure). I hope you will recover quickly, but in the meanwhile, take the time to get better and rest. Your health is the most important thing right now.

Thank you, my friend. It doesn't mean I won't keep up with Imaginos and Desdinova. Or Buzzardo! I'll be taking it more easily for a while, and will be posting my new book later. I would love you to come and read it when I do. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, being you are a fantasy writer. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Thank you for keeping us updated on your progress. I will continue to pray for you. I will also miss your wonderful novels. I am a huge fan, but you already know that. Please take care of yourself. Your health comes before everything. I understand waiting for your cataracts to grow to get them removed. I've been there for over a year. It seems they stopped and are just sitting there.

I've been told it might take a while before my cataracts have thickened enough to have them removed. At least I know my Long Covid won't have to get worse before it get's better!! :))

I've started my next novel, but it won't be ready to post for at least a couple of weeks, or more. I'm trying to be positive and hope that if I rest up for as long as I can, I'll get better faster. Lol. Thank you, Barbara. I'll be coming to read yours tomorrow. I won't stop reading my favourite stories. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Well dealing with these annoying, persistent symptoms are certainly not fun, and bound to make anyone crazy. So I send my best wishes that they will be gone soon. God bless.

They say old age is not for sissies. I can relate to what you're going through, though thankfully, knock on wood a thousand times, I have not met up with Covid yet. I still mask everywhere, though I go out rarely. I have this immunosuppression thing going on. And I'm a homebody at heart. The worst thing, to me, would be the taste thing. That would drive me nuts. Of course, the headaches are no cakewalk either. Hope the new spectacles help. Hang in there! Sending you good thoughts!

You are so right! Sol. I've decided I'm a sissie and want to go back to being a 'normal youngster' again! (Is there such a thing as a normal youngster?? Lol.) I use my mask all the time, mainly because I'm asthmatic and don't want to catch Covid again. Long Covid isn't infectious, but it still isn't nice to have. Thank you, my friend. How are you doing? How is your walking now, any better? Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

I'm so sorry you are going through such struggles. You come across as a trooper, nonetheless. Covid has met its match! I admire how you keep writing, sometimes I think about writing, but never get around to it. Or read my notes and think I'll revise and prepare for posting later. You know how that goes! I have good days for the most part, bad days sometimes, but overall much, much better. I hope things improve for you soon.

Hello Sandra,

It is good to hear from you and a relief to know that you don't have a brain tumour or anything as serious or as life threatening. It's so easy to convince yourself of the worst, when you have so many symptoms.

Long Covid is the pits. My husband has it too, following covid in October 2021. He shares many of your symptoms, although he hasn't mentioned the loss or change in smell - I really don't envy you that!

He has (increasingly) good days when he feels almost normal and then other days when he has brain fog, lethargy and aches and pains. He has developed a stammer, which is mostly present when he is tired and he finds it frustrating that he tires quickly and isn't able to do all the things that he loves. The hardest thing is that he often struggles to function properly at work, taking things in and making decisions are sometimes impossible for him. But, he DOES have good days and he makes the most of them!

Hoping that you make a steady recovery, lots of love, Debra xx

Hi Debra, it's nice to hear from you, too. :)) I've decided this Covid lark needs sorting, and soon! Whoever it was 'invented' it, needs a flogging!
I'm sorry your husband has the dubious pleasure of this awful illness. I had Covid three times last year, and I think out of them all, I'd rather have the Covid than what this Long Covid is like. I've not heard of anyone developing a stammer, but with any luck, as he improves, so that will too. I had never taken much notice when Long Covid was mentioned. I just thought you had Covid a bit longer than normal. But it's not like that at all. Thank you for your information on how he is doing. Having 'normal' days, must be wonderful! Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

I am so sorry, Sandra! You are having long-lasting covid and I can't say enough how bad I feel for you!
The symptoms sound like they are awful to deal with and I have been very lucky to have been covid free for the whole duration of this so-called pandemic!
Thanks for sharing and I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you, Jesse, I'm so glad you have never had Covid. It doesn't stop there even when you are 'better' because it changes you in many ways. I've heard some real horror stories, so I can't moan too much. Thanks for your kindness, my friend. :) Sandra xx

My friend David had Covid. I sometimes can tell that it changed him somehow and not for the better.
Stay as healthy as you can!
