As a teacher I am always looking for informative animal books for my class. Students love them. As a twelve year old your grandson is probably well into online books with all sorts of images. I am wondering if you are able to add some sidebar images with captions, like map inserts of where the animals are found. Just a thought.
I love the poem at the start, and hope you have done this for each entry.
I am sure that your grandson with treasure this gift.

That's a good idea, I think I'll start sorting that out. Eric loves books. I've written a series of adventure stories, with him as the hero. His school has them now, and will be getting some of these when I've finished. Your idea will go down well.
Yes, every entry has the same format. The cartoon picture, (my husbands) then my poem, followed by the fun facts with pictures.

Okay, being honest here, I thought the only reason I was going to read an alphabet, children's animal book was because you posted it. But, WOW, I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it and learned more than I could have imagined. Outstanding, and Eric will have a hand-me-down to be read and enjoyed by him and generations to come. I wish I had a six. Now, I just wish I had time to go back and catch up on all the chapters I missed. Let me know if you decide to publish it, so that I can purchase one and add it to some lucky child's collection. Great job, and thanks for sharing!

Ever since these little fellows were adopted by comparethemarket.com, following an excellent zoological series about them, I wondered why the websight had given them Russian names and accents. I would have expected them to have Afrikaans accents and names but well, there you go.
This is an excellent informative piece in both prose and poetic formats.

Ever since these little fellows were adopted by comparethemarket.com, following an excellent zoological series about them, I wondered why the websight had given them Russian names and accents. I would have expected them to have Afrikaans accents and names but well, there you go.

I know, I love those adverts and in some cases, more than the program they've interrupted. You're right about their names, I hadn't noticed that. It does seem weird to me, too.

I watch these guys on National G sometime son Nature. The are keen and wise within their own habitat. I know you are writing this for you grandson and the other kids but how about us 82 year old kids? We like it too. LOL.
