This English sonnet is excellent in every respect. The theme is moving, realistic, and effectively conveyed, and the rhyming and meter are accurate. We will be remembered for how we "played our hand." Great metaphors!

This sonnet, The Final Tally, has the proper formatting and begins sounding like a bemoaning of life's heavy handedness, then claws back some sagely nugget which states that it's not the cards that make the hand, but the hand that holds the cards.
