How sweeet to write about your grandchild/ren. I'm still waiting for one of my own. My daughter is stubborn about getting married because of the technical aspects... something about credit ratings affecting the spouse. THey really should NOT--I have to look into that. Nowadays kids live tog for a while first. But I'm tired of waiting for grandkids! Grrr...

Beautiful rhythm. Imagery evoking love, innocence, beauty, movement. I love the line "dancing jewels in raindrops' flight". An excellent poem that gives the reader plenty of mental and emotional imagery.

This is a delightful entry for the contest. It sounds as if your grandson is an old soul, most kids would think the rubbish and war on TV is just war games. I loved your poem that has all the ingredients of new life, which the butterfly represents. Well done Roy.
