This is the prayer of every Christian who is struggling to find favor or to stay in favor with Christ. Trust that that prayer is answerer

There are a few things that I'd really love to say about this piece. First, I think it has a depth that might be a little hard to hear for some... I think maybe if you went over it a few more times and really let it take you, you'd quickly find your own musical rhythm of syllables and turn this terrifying piece into a true tale of ever lengthening horror. My heart was racing and I wanted to cry, I could feel your manic nightmare screaming at me... This can be scary stuff!!
Now, I'd like to speak on a more personal level. As I just said, I really truly "felt" this piece and it chilled me to the bone. Not so much that the poem itself is scary, but I was afraid for the person suffering this misery and terrified confusion... The ancient question of all beings existing at our level of flesh is adamantly addressed... "Who/what/where/why/how is God?" Being a Christianity deserter, I can tell you that It/He/She/They (God) can never be truly seen unless one searches every angle that's possible for them. You really just have to let go and give in to the lunacy of it all. You might find that one can be a lot happier there. Anything is possible, and nothing is for certian. It all depends on how one is looking at it. Maybe just try to embrace all things while not clinging too tightly to any one particular thing. That would be my best advice to someone struggling to wake up, anyway. The demons easily await between the states of sleeping and awake. And I don't mean waking up from a crappy night's sleep, I mean waking up for the first time. These perceived demons can't harm you if you do not fear them. Look them in the face and see them for exactly as they are and one will soon find that they seem to cower rather easily.
Geez, what a ramble..! My apologies; and I didn't mean for this to come across as negative or arrogant in any way, although I just read it and it kinda does. I'm just trying to stretch a helping hand to a fellow seeker... and I do hope that you'll consider going over this one again. It's way more than just worth it... 8^) Take care and be well..

The art work is excellent also for the words written.
We are human beings, we make mistakes
We also do many good things within our lives.
We all make our own decisions or
We ask someone or turn to God for help.
We should not be afraid what we ask God
He loves us and listens to us.

A great poem with good expression of a subject nearly all face in some way or other in the course of a lifetime. Still, I think God usually shows Himself to us along the way as well. Your words go a long way towards explaining the feeling.

The meter is off, and the rhythm is extremely erratic. However, I don't believe it was intended to follow a specific format or style. It reads more like a free style verse with occasional rhyme, so I will judge it based on that.
It's also a plea for help, a cry out to God and all of His heavenly servants to stop the torment and hell your mind is going through. It's write I believe many will be able to relate to, myself included...
Great job, Justin.

This deserved six stars, the message is strong and the form is the right vessel to convey your message. The author have captured perfectly his message in written words and lilting lines. Well done, God bless.

This is a very deep poem. Your search may not be as far as you think. Look up Bruce Marciano, an actor who has played Jesus. He has some very moving things to say about how he wanted to become enough like Christ so that the Lord's love would be in his eyes. And watch his movie "The Encounter". However you continue your search, know that God has never lost sight of you.

This is a very touching and emotional poem Justin. I can see that it is a very sincere account of your struggles. As a poem it's main weakness is the uneven rhythm. Some lines are quite long and make reading the poem with any sort of rhythm very difficult. Try to make sure you have the same number of heavy beats or accents in each line and this immediately makes the poem more attractive to the reader. The repetition of the pleading to Jesus is perhaps overdone. This can be suggested in the tone of the poem rather than spelled out. Otherwise it's a good effort.

'The Voyager' is an exceptionally well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. This talented poet's work carries an important message. It was a pleasure to review a work of this standard.
