Hi keimosobie,

Interesting theme and very well put across, the message of temptation and our stumbling toward it. All to easily we fall from grace...

The Devils seed planted, tells this story very well. We have all been tempted at one time or another, and have fallen to our temptations. The Devil knows exactly when we are most vulnerable. We need just one gift from God to ward him off. It is called strength. Good writing. This certainly deserves a six. Lani2

You provide us with a powerful image of the soul who has given in to overwhelming temptation. The imagination (impregnated by the "devil's seed") starts the fire and we push away all that we know about good and fall into the "fire." Excellent. Best wishes, Hector

combust, forsaken, hopeless abandonment, lust, spawn - great word choices that create and sustain the brooding tone of this poetic cautionary tale - this poem packs quite a punch! Brooke :-)

I agree with you. Everyone has given in to temptation ... likely often. Just last night when the waitress came by with the desert tray, I was a gonner.

Hello keimosobie,
Your "Devil's Seed" poem was an interesting and well written poem. It was also thought provoking and in good form with a nice, easy flow and your couplets had strong end rhymes.
Best wishes,
W ^-^

This is absolutely exceptional. Pain often sends us searching for relief ... a distraction, a few moments, or hours of reprieve, someone or something to make us feel whole (or just better, wanted, needed). MANY have succumbed to 'pain relief' in the form of seduction. Very well done!
