Tis is a uniqhe idea of the wonderment and 'awe' we get when viewing a masterpiece, Sue. I get it every time I read one of my poems! LMAO!
The 'old' stuff still fascinates the new.
Good luck n love, Ray xx

How did you KNOW I was writing about your works, my guru and grand master?!!!! It was supposed to be subliminal. LOL!!!! You crack me up! Now, get back to work and crank out another masterpiece!

Hi Sue, thanks for joining the contest. A fine composition. I guess you're picturing the gallery of the master painters. Wish you all the best with this.

Yes. It's amazing that every time I go to our museum, how one piece, that I've seen many times, can affect me. Saw an El Greco a few weeks ago which I just had to sit down and get lost in. Great contest. I've never heard of this form, but really like it. Sue :-)

Have you entered the "Blitz Poem" contest? I hesitated at first, but when I began to write it (still unfinished), I'm enjoying it so much. It might just be your cup of tea!

I used to see it before and I noted the current contest. hmm... not sure I'm not yet inspired to try it lol. 50 lines, right? actually i don't really fancy long poem, but we'll see. good luck with yours. :)

I see you have been visiting Museums...I like to go there also. Your Septolet Poem is very insightful because in a few words you can paint volumes of awe.

HI Sue...
I Love it~
Especially the closing verse. I may have to try a septolet...I love short forms that speak volumes.

This is a fine tribute poem. NO nits.

Best of luck in the contest.

Loving light,
rama devi

They certainly do leave a legacy - old palettes renew the senses of people who live long after the masters have died - this is a strong sepolet, Sue. Brooke

Sue - Septolet Poem? You've graduated from the 12 syllable poems I see. Nice sentiment about the masters of art. And good luck in the contest. Charlie

Great job with this septolet form--I looked it up on the internet and found a reference from 2006 that said its author was unknown and the break should be between the 4th and 5th line, the way you constructed yours. You know how much I like art; I really enjoyed the topic and thought you created a great title. I also liked your bonus of alliteration.

Joan, yes, I do know how much you like art! And very glad you enjoyed this little piece about art. Thanks very much for your very generous review. I will have to look up that reference on where the break is to take place. I've seen others write theirs in many ways, but I took the example given in the prompt, feeling that was, perhaps, the proper way. Cheers! sue
