Wonderful flowers and a wonderful daughter to visit her Dad at his gravesite.
Yes we do miss our loved ones so much. I really loved the tender way how you placed the flowers and pulled out the weeds at your Father's resting place. I guess your thoughts would also be noticed by your Dad who is with you always in Spirit.

Sweet, simple, sentimental and very succinct. All of these qualities augment the impact of this touching write.
I am sorry you lost your father, but also sure he lives on in your heart. Mine passed two years ago about the same time.
Well presented with apt artwork.
Nice job. Best of luck.
Blessings,

Simple and clean. Loved the visual that you picked.
I liked your closing line:
While picking weeds, I'll groom the site
And clean his stone to keep it bright.
I did not, however, find the poem sad. The subject matter--the passing of a parent---is, undoubtedly sad, but your presenation was filled with acceptence and hope. This came through in the tone and word choice.
Loved it.

I'm sorry for your loss. Your poem expresses your emotions very well. I like the tending and the weeding with respect to memories - tend the good ones, weed the bad ones. Wishing you all the best.

Losing someone you love is beyond sadness. Your simple words describe what so many of us continue to feel despite the passage of time. Lovely tribute and very nicely done. Good luck with the contest.

So sorry. But your poem shows us all how much you miss and love your dad. It's so hard to have such a loss. Remember the times you had and look forward to the new times to come!

What a tender poem of love and loss.
Your words paint the picture of devotion, and cleaning the gravesite a beautiful act of homage and sweet tribute.
Nicely done.

Well Sue,
I have no nits this time and I found your poem heartwarming and pleasantly constructed. I'm sure your father would be so pleased at this tribute.
God Bless

This is very sad. I do the same thing when I visit my mother's grave. She has been gone twenty years and I still miss her so much. Your poem is a very appropriate contest entry. I am truly sorry about your father's death. The hurt is still quite raw, I am sure. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings, Linda

Sue, your poem is a touching tribute to your Dad. The artwork and words were absolutely beautiful. I feel your feelings because I too, lost my Dad and miss him terribly.
